We offer Real Time RT-PCR and IgM Antibody COVID-19 testing at most of our collection centres.


Travellers are responsible for determining COVID-19 testing requirements for travel.

Please refer to embassies, travel agents, carriers or destinations for current guidelines.

Domestic Travel within Australia

FAQs for Domestic Travel

No, you do not require an appointment for COVID testing.

People requiring testing for domestic travel are advised to attend one of our dedicated COVID testing facilities at Nicholls, Kambah, Holt, Goulburn or Bega. Covid-19 Information

Results for this testing will be sent via SMS to your nominated mobile number. Currently the states requiring proof of a negative COVID test prior to entry accept this SMS message as confirmation.

This is subject to change based on the directives from the public health authority in the relevant states or territories.

For Travel within Australia, the cost of COVID-19 testing is covered by the Government if confirmation of a negative COVID-19 status is required by a Public Health Order to enter that State or Territory.

FAQ's for International Travel

No, you do not require an appointment for COVID testing.

Testing for international travellers can be performed at any available Capital Pathology Collection Centre.

Yes, Capital Pathology is a NATA accredited pathology provider. Please follow this link to view our certificates. Accreditation

The request form is sent by email after you have placed your order. To open this link enter your DOB in the following format: DD/MM/YYYY

You result is reported in a Travel report that that is sent by SMS to the mobile number you eneterd when placing your order. You will need the 4-digit report access PIN to open the report. The PIN is found in your confirmation email and also on your tax invoice.

Yes. The passport number, country of origin and nationality that you enter when placing your order are included in your Travel Report

Yes, however you are only able to include one passport number and nationality when placing your order. To add a second passport number and nationality, please tell the pathology collector who takes your sample and this will be organised for you.

Your order is valid for 12months from the date that you place it. There is no need to contact us, simply tell the collector when you arrive for your test and they will be able to update your new travel details.

We try to make sure we have a COVID-19 testing facility open. However we do not always know which location. Please check our COVID-19 page or Our locations page for any updates on public holidays.
